Learning @ Home: Term 2, Week 1
And it is the beginning of term 2!
Friday 1st May, 2020
Good morning guys
It was great to see so many people online yesterday and working their way through their learning tasks! Thanks again to the amazing school captains for hosting the assembly and to Stephanie for her awesome book report. Today it is really important that you finish off tasks and checklists for the week. Some people have done an awesome job at completing everything, turning it in and marking it off in the checklist. Others have done all the work BUT haven't turned it in or they might not have ticked it off. Please do this as I will be marking the work you have done today and tomorrow. This morning's Zoom meeting will go through: 1) What book you are reading at the moment 2) If you have been updating your Premier's Reading Challenge regularly (score from 1 to 10 with 10 being yes, for sure, all the time, every single book!) 3) What are you proud of achieving this week? 4) Kahoot (Topic is: Pronouns) 5) Answering the lateral thinking puzzle below Remember we have a General Zoom meeting at 9.30am, drop in literacy session at 10.00am and drop in maths session at 11:40am. See you soon Mrs Dunne |

Good Morning Guys
I was so excited to see so many of you yesterday. I am hoping the Google Classroom lessons, videos and tasks are making sense. Remember I am always hear to help you. If you are stuck on something, just ask. You can email me, put a comment in Google Classroom or join the Zoom meetings. Remember we have a General Zoom meeting at 9.30am, drop in literacy session at 10.00am and drop in maths session at 11:40am. During our morning meeting we will: 1) Discuss something the you enjoyed or worked well in regards to your school work yesterday 2) Rate yourself between 1 and 10 (one = not even started to 10 = have done it every day) in regards to working on your gratitude journal 3) Kahoot 4) Answer the riddle in the chat (to me only) See you soon and have a great day. Riddle of the day
Bridge Crossing
In wartime, an army had to cross a wide river. There were no boats and only one bridge, which was very narrow. Crossing the bridge would have made them sitting ducks for enemy gunfire. How did the entire army cross the river in relative safety?

Good morning guys! I am excited to see you all, even if it is only online. The first couple of weeks will be similar to the last couple of weeks of last term with students staying at home and working online if they can. During week 3 students will have an allocated day to attend school, hopefully with each student attending one day at school during week 3.
We will have our morning meeting via Zoom (link is in Google Classroom), during the meeting we will: 1) Have a quick check in 2) Tell us something you're looking forward to doing this week 3) Play a Kahoot (make sure you have a device or can split your screen) 4) Answer the morning puzzle (remember to put them in the chat at the end but only send to ME!) Remember Zoom had some authentication changes at the end of last term and again over the holidays. If you can't get on watch the video again, try following these instructions below or email me asap. See you soon! Mrs Dunne |
